ReceiptHero is on a roll. After establishing the company in October of 2018, they pitched at FiBAN Pitch Finland in December and closed their funding round in February. What next? With the raised funds the company aims to raise the usage of digital receipts in Finland to a significant level and then advance with their internalization plans. Their innovation lies in the core of the service, which allows consumers and business users to link their digital receipts with, for example their bank or credit card. The customer can then be identified at the checkout or webstore by their card and the receipt can then be automatically delivered to the client's chosen application. The chosen application can be, for example, email, Facebook messenger, a bank mobile application, accounting software, or even a stores own loyal customer application. It’s up to the user to decide! “Over 440 billion card or mobile payments are made annually in the world. ReceiptHero’s goal is to convert the paper receipts from these purchases into digital ones and harness the information from these receipts to benefit all of us. The hidden data from receipts will revolutionize consumers perception of their own finances. By utilizing this data, we can finally understand where our money goes, and what impact our consumption has on ourselves and the environment”, Joel Ojala, CEO of ReceiptHero explains. Looking forward to the era of digital receipts!
