Johanna has recently completed her master’s degree in Finance at the University of Oulu. She is particularly passionate about entrepreneurship and psychology. In her master’s thesis ‘Conflict management and conflicts between angel investors and entrepreneurs: the perspective of active angel investors‘, she focused on studying conflicts and conflict management.
Her findings show that most of the conflicts business angels and founders face are beneficial. These low-level conflicts give room for discussions and help the company to grow. The most harmful ones are conflicts that do not focus on solving the right problem, which can turn into frustration and friction.
Her findings point out that business angels use mostly constructive discussions to solve conflicts. The importance of trust, open communication, understanding, and focus was highlighted. Something that’s important in every partnership, especially in challenging times. If you’re interested in hearing more, give her a call, she’s happy to share more of her findings.
Last year Johanna worked as an intern at FiBAN and helped us organize EBAN Helsinki 2019. She has also worked at OP Corporate Bank as a corporate banking advisor and has extensive working experience in sales. She has been coaching a sales team and organizing sales training.
In her free time, she likes to travel, do sports and spend time with her friends and family. She especially enjoys running and yoga. When you spot a girl with a big smile and a positive attitude, that’s her!
