They are hacking it! Founders attended FiBAN Pitch Finland already in December 2017, but decided to launch their service themselves and bootstrap for the first year. After +200 listed apartments, the company now closed their pre-seed funding round in order to match Business Finland’s Tempo grant and to find new advisors. Dwellet has raised 45.000€ and combined the capital with 50.000€ grant from Business Finland. With cash flow from paying customers, their runway is set to last 9-12 months.
With the gathered 95.000€ the company is hiring, further developing their tools and test marketing in other countries. They aim to become a major renting service for both private and corporate landlords in Finland before expansion to Europe. The team has set their sight to expansion in 2020. “In European Union almost 160M people are renting an apartment and the number is increasing. We might be the only solution combining realtors’ hands-on attitude to new technologies.” CEO and co-founder Henri Haaksiala explain their secret sauce. “As online broker businesses in sales and Airbnb types of services in renting have become successful worldwide, we believe that renting is the next big think in real estate disruption.” Haaksiala says. Dwellet hasn’t launched any app or website but instead they are co-operating with the biggest apartment marketplaces in Finland and building features on top of their solutions. This approach has been successful and can be imported to other markets. Congratiolations Dwellet - Way to go! More Information:
