The new FiBAN Board for 2020 has been selected. Seven experienced business angels and entrepreneurs with diverse know-how will lead the way at one of the world's biggest business angel networks, when FiBAN starts its 10th year of operations at the end of this year.
Fall 2019 has been busy for business angels, as an international syndicate of 30 investors have gone through 130 companies which applied for Nordic Angel Program at Slush. From all those companies, one stood out from the crowd. Crowst will now receive an angel investing round of 300 000€ to open up new markets.
In October 2019, FiBAN together with EstBAN travelled to Iceland to learn about the local ecosystem. Country of only 350 000 people hosts a vibrant and innovative ecosystem, including a maritime cluster, 100% female founded VC, and many other new and fresh ideas. The core of success for Icelanders is the fact that they are small and resources are scarce - which makes them more international-minded and innovative from the beginning.
