FiBAN links actively potential high-growth companies to its business angel members. Currently FiBAN has almost 500 approved investor members and is one of the largest and active networks Europe. During 2014 FiBAN investors screened 277 potential investment opportunities that submitted their executive summary to www.fiban.org/submit. Of these 125 were approved for pitching at FiBAN’s main startup presentation event PitchFinland, held in cooperation with Finnvera in Helsinki every 6th week.
FiBAN is thrilled to have received investment results from 111 companies that pitched (answer rate 89%) and at least 42 companies (38%) received the requested investment. In most of the investments FiBAN investors were directly or indirectly involved. This is 15% of the total amount of companies that approached FiBAN’s deal flow process. The received investment result is very positive as typically approximately 10% of companies approaching angels receive the requested investment showing that the Finnish angel activity is very active. Also the companies not approved for investment or pitching all received valuable investor feedback to support their growth goals. FiBAN also arranges several sector and region focused pitch events which are not all described in the FiBAN’s main deal flow process. FiBAN’s statistics also doesn’t include companies that reach angel investors outside the FiBAN deal flow process. SHORTLY
