The Gust platform is created to simplify the process for entrepreneurs to get in contact with angel investors. Gust is a platform used by angel investors worldwide and the platform supports thousands of accredited investors across 80+ countries. A company can create one profile and share it with several different investor groups in different countries. FiBAN is one angel investor organisation utilising the Gust as a tool to manage all startups that wish to present themselves for FiBAN angel investors. The maintenance of the platform is not controlled by FiBAN.

The company profile a startup creates is the key to getting in contact with FiBAN investors. One should use the profile to refine and iterate on the business model before reaching out to investors. In Gust, individual investors can search for companies according to their own field of expertise or according to the company sector or location.
All company profiles submitted to FiBAN are visible to all our 650+ angel investor members so it is very important that you keep the profile up to date. Any interested investor can contact you after reviewing your material. In addition to this, we have PitchFinland and other sector specific pitching events to which we choose companies based on their Gust profiles.

What is most important in the Gust profile?
The most important thing is that you take your time to fill in all fields in the profile and keep in mind that most investors haven't heard about your company before. You need to make sure an outsider can understand what your product is and why it is a great, innovative, and scalable.
In the profile and pitch deck, make sure the following things are properly covered:
What is shared with whom on Gust?
Your profile front page is visible to all Gust users. This information includes your company name, one-liner and summary, industry, location, and web page. No other information in your profile is visible to a Gust user who you haven’t given access.
When you share your profile with/give access to FiBAN, your profile will firstly only be visible to the FiBAN office. Once the office has confirmed that your company has filled in all information correctly, we will publish your profile to our 650+ angel investor members. All members are expected to follow the FiBAN ethical rules that include the following statement ”honor confidential information and use given information solely to evaluate the investment”.
Why do I need to create a login for Gust?
The information you put into your profile is confidential and you can choose with whom you share it. Only the entrepreneur who has created a profile can update the profile information. The FiBAN office cannot change any information in a startups profile.
I updated my Gust profile, but nothing happened?
FiBAN is not notified of any updates you make in Gust, so if you have uploaded a new pitch deck or updated new information, let us know by sending a message to us through Gust or by emailing our deal flow manager. The deadline to submit your information to Gust is one week prior to screening at 12pm.

What is most important in the Gust profile?
The most important thing is that you take your time to fill in all fields in the profile and keep in mind that most investors haven't heard about your company before. You need to make sure an outsider can understand what your product is and why it is a great, innovative, and scalable.
In the profile and pitch deck, make sure the following things are properly covered:
- Problem: What problem are you solving?
- Solution: What is the innovative solution do you have for this problem? Make sure any person who has never heard of your company can understand what the solution and product/service is.
- Pictures: Do you have some concept pictures or pictures of the readymade product? If your product is digital: could you include some screenshots of what the UX looks like?
- Competitive Advantage: What makes your solution better than competitors’? Are there any barriers to entry? How long-lasting are advantages/barriers?
- Revenue Model: Company’s way to generate revenues including pricing model?
- Markets: Market validation (pilots and customers) and market opportunity (market potential)
- Competition: What does the competitive landscape look like? Who are your competitors? (note: there is always competition!)
- Team: Who are the team members and what is their skills, knowledge, and experience?
- Financials: How much are you seeking, and what is your pre-money valuation? If available: the company debt, the current number of shares, the number of shares after investment.
- Investment opportunity: Current funding (raised to date), Future funding plans, Use of proceeds (how the invested money will be used.
