Finnish Business Angels Network (FiBAN) is a non-profit association of private investors on a mission to inspire private investments. The network is one of the largest and most active business angel networks in Europe with over 650 approved members.
The network's three main activities consist of 1. Matchmaking of startup and investors, 2. Sharing of best practices and 3. Representation of the private investors' interest.
FiBAN is a member of the European Business Angels Network (EBAN), and was chosen as the Business Angel Network of the Year in 2012 and 2014. FiBAN received the esteemed Internationalization Award of the President of the Republic of Finland in 2017.
Finnish Business Angel Investment Activity
FiBAN gathers investment statistics regarding Finnish business angel activity, and the results are published annually together with the Finnish Venture Capital Association. Business Angels statistics have been gathered since FiBAN was founded in 2010. During 2010-2019 business angels in Finland have invested at least 300 million euros into 2500+ startups.

FiBAN's board is elected yearly during the association's regulatory fall meeting. The activity is based on voluntary aiming to inspire Finnish private startup investing.

Regional angel groups
Finnish Business Angels Network is a national network with many regional and local communities organising networking and pitching events with an aim to form regional investment syndicates. The aim is to form local and sectoral groups who are in regular contact with each other and provide linking for the local ecosystem.
