INSPIRING PRIVATE INVESTMENTS
– HERE WE GO!
We are glad to inform that you are now one of the privileged members of the growing network of Finnish Business Angels.
FiBAN has had a very active past three months, which was used to build FiBAN’s central web service and contacting relevant interest groups. We thank you for your patience and are glad to inform that creating FiBAN's web service is finally paying off and our services are now open and ready to support the matching between FiBAN’s members and entrepreneurs with potential high-growth business deals. The first deals have already been submitted and we hope you will take the time to look them through. The service will be continually developed and we hope that it will become a central crossing-point for all Business Angels in Finland.
In 2009 just over 2 % of the Finnish adult population acted as business angels (Global entrepreneurship monitor, 2009) and FiBAN will do its best to strengthen this activity. Studies show that Business Angel investing makes a crucial adding to a company’s possibilities to grow, but Finland is lagging behind in using this resource effectively. One of FiBAN’s missions is to promote the knowledge of Business Angels and help good cases find suitable investors.
There’s a very active fall ahead for Business Angels in Finland and we hope that you already book the dates of the events you wish to attend in your calendar. We’ll also be personally contacting you within a few weeks to transform your investor information over to our webservice.

FiBAN has waken a lot of positive interest among the public and private sector and we’re especially glad to have positive promotion from Sitra and Finnvera. There is also excellent cooperation for example with Tekes, EK, Boardman, Finatex, Technopolis and Entrepreneurship societies like AaltoES. FiBAN has even been cooperating with Nordic and Baltic Angel Networks and we hope to develop these relationships further. In Europe, the amount of Angel networks registered in the European Angel Network - EBAN has exceeded 400 members (United States 350) and FiBAN is happy to be part of this global development.
FiBAN’s is very thankful for the workgroups who’ve done a great job developing FiBAN’s strategy, web service, best practices and actions and term sheets. The work is still under process and we’ll inform you about the results in the near future. We would especially like to thank Antti Hannula, Feodor Aminoff, Eero Lähteenmäki who’ve lead their groups and all the participators who’ve participated in the development.
